OPEN CALL: REVEAL - PORTLAND & WEYMOUTH TOWNS OF CULTURE INVITES BOLD CULTURAL PROJECTS FOR AUTUMN 2025

Portland and/or Weymouth?

Portland and Weymouth Towns of Culture has today launched stage 2 of its REVEAL year-long campaign - an open call for creative projects that shine a light on the imagination and diversity of our town and our isle.    

Grants of up to £10,000 are available to support new cultural activity taking place between October and December 2025, in either Portland and/or Weymouth.

We’re looking for projects that excite, engage, and inspire - whether that’s a performance, artwork, event, or creative happening in a public space.

This is a chance to contribute to a major cultural moment, revealing untold stories, making space for imagination, and bringing people together through creativity.

How to apply

Projects should meet the following criteria:

• Involve two or more partners - individuals or organisations working together to deliver new cultural activity.

• Reach new audiences in Portland and/or Weymouth - think creatively about who you connect with and how.

• Embody environmental responsibility - from planning to delivery, show how your work cares for the planet.

• Be inclusive and accessible - designed with and for diverse communities, welcoming everyone to take part.

We welcome proposals from artists, collectives, community groups and cultural organisations of all kinds.
